CLRG World Championships 2022 - Art Competition

ART COMPETITION 2022

Today, we are delighted to launch the CLRG World Championships 2022 Art Competition.

The aim of the competition is for Irish language students and dancers to share their love for the Irish Language in Ireland in 2022 and reflect on the meaning of Culture and heritage.

The competition will be open to students and dancers who study the Irish language. Prizes of £250, £150 and £50 will be awarded for first, second and third. The school of the overall winner will also receive £200 to spend on art materials.

The winners will be selected by a judging panel that will include Belfast artist, Tony Bell and CLRG representative, Carol Leavy-Joyce.

The closing date for entries to the competition is 5pm 11th March 2022.

There will be a celebration of the entries on display in the Waterfront Hall at Oireacthas Rince Na Cruinne in April 2022.

The attached information provides more details about the competition themes and entry rules. You can view here:  Art_2022_Competition_guidelines.pdf

This is an exciting opportunity for young people to promote the Irish Language and demonstrate their love of it. It is a great way to motivate young artists, showcase their talents and further develop their creative skills.
